Privacy Policy – K.A.I.T.T. by Okunarium Labs

K.A.I.T.T. is a voice-enabled iOS/iPadOS app developed by Okunarium Labs, in partnership with Retro Recipes. This policy describes how the app handles data, particularly your spoken input and subscription-related information.
1. Voice Input and Data Transmission
To provide real-time, voice-based interactions, K.A.I.T.T. requires sending your spoken input to remote services via the Internet (“the Cloud”).
- What is transmitted: When the app is listening, your spoken input (or its transcription) is transmitted to cloud-based services for processing and response generation.
- No local retention: Okunarium Labs does not record, store, or retain any of your spoken words or their transcriptions.
- No identity association: Transmitted data is not associated with your Apple ID, email, name, or any other personal identifier.
- Sensitive information caution: Because the app processes real-time audio, users should be aware that PII (personally identifiable information) or other sensitive content may be inadvertently transmitted. Do not speak sensitive information unless you accept the risk of it being processed by cloud services.
2. Third-Party Services
K.A.I.T.T. relies on third-party services to process voice input. These services receive only what is necessary for core functionality and are governed by their own privacy policies.
Currently used third-party services:

- Does not control how third-party services process your input
- Does not share additional information beyond what is required for functionality
- Does not sell, monetize, or re-use transmitted data
3. Subscription-Related Data
K.A.I.T.T. uses Apple’s in-app purchase system to manage subscriptions.
- What is collected: The app receives transaction identifiers (such as the originalTransactionId or appAccountToken) from Apple to verify active subscriptions.
- No PII: These identifiers are anonymous and do not contain any personal information such as your name, Apple ID, or email address.
- No tracking: These identifiers are used exclusively for subscription validation and not for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
- No third-party billing: All payments are handled securely by Apple through the App Store.
5. Your Consent
By installing and using K.A.I.T.T., you:
- Acknowledge and accept that spoken input will be transmitted to online services for processing
- Agree to the use of anonymous transaction identifiers for subscription validation
- Understand that Okunarium Labs does not retain, store, or sell your voice input or personal data
6. Changes to the privacy policy
Okunarium Labs may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will publish an updated version and effective date on this page.
